Sinulog 2010 festivities was last January, so this is a late post. Lol.
I had a great time with my friends. We went to see the parade, saw the different contingents dancing on the streets, elbowed a lot of people, and sometimes danced to the tune of the happy bands.
We had our henna done by some entrepreneur artist who did the job for twice as much as others charged. We did not know he was charging too much until too late. I wonder if we can use rubber stamps to make these so it will be cheaper and not time consuming?
I chose a tribal design and liked it. I even thought for a moment to have a permanent tattoo with this tribal design, but I said no. I can not have a tattoo because it will invalidate me to donate blood.
My friend chose some Japanese characters. She is crazy with Japanese animé and my guess of what it stands for is as good as mine.
Anyway, the crowd was crazy! Sometimes you see there is a current of people flowing just beside a stagnant spectator crowd If you are caught in the middle, good luck to you. You will get bounced, pushed, sometimes even kicked, and all those happened to me and perhaps to those thousands of others. Good thing my henna wasn’t rubbed off totally in the commotion.
I am looking forward for the next Sinulog, hope to see you there!
