Papers, papers, papers. And tons of papers.
Well that is Political Science is all about. You would have to elaborate on the epistemological and procedural discourses of theories that do not make sense to me, but makes sense to those erudite thinkers. Thanks to them, I am burdened in dissecting their mental crap and whatever inanities they have spewed for the last thousands of years.
In my one of my Political Theory class, I was tasked to report about Neo-Gramsci Approach in context with International Relations. I failed to read what the classic Gramsci was, so I somehow failed to give a comprehensive report/lecture to the class. Imagine discussing social forces based on the “modes of production not limited to actual goods but also to knowledge, etc.”, the social force that owns the capital and mode of production becomes a hegemony and then projects its hegemonic project to the international arena.
I made a joke about Gramsci being the original “ejemon” as he was the one who conceptualized “ejemonia“, but it was too corny. I think nobody got it.
In another subject, I had to report about gender and the oppressed plight of women in our society. I had to do a document scanning as the sources were hard copy: they were from the Beijing +10 Platform of Action handouts! Well this subject is ok as it is rather concrete; I can see facts and figures rather than theoretical concepts lying in the mental and metaphysical domain.

Um, I think I spent more time in researching definitions of the terms you used than reading the entire post itself. Nosebleed.
