Sometime around November last year, when we went to Ilo-ilo to join the Bloggers camp, I was invited by my friend to join the PTB group in FB. My site lakbaydiva.com and my FB account Lakbay Pilipino was added to the growing list of pinoy travel bloggers.
It has been a boon for me since then because my traffic increased, as well as the comments I was getting too.
I am an SEO wannabe so here are some of my wannabe thoughts on the Cebu market.
Cebu has still the unexplored potential of an SEO market. There are small, medium, to large enterprises that has not been encouraged to use the full capacity of the internet in maximizing its reach to the consumers and possible customers.
There are SEO and SEM companies already here in Cebu, but their target market is global: Either Europe or the North Americas. They go for the bigger market, as they would earn big bucks as well.

Search engine bots are very eager to search your site for new content; the moment you submit a new entry, it gets indexed ( provided that your site is already spidered by them).
It is important to update your site as much as possible, and as close to your blog topic as possible. Let us say for example a travel blog, you should be updating it at least twice a week with travel posts, so as to enrich the content of your blog. Specifically, you should also be including keywords and tags that revolves around the theme of your blog.
To have your post have weigh in search engines, you can submit this to article submission sites (there are lots of free of them out there), or to an Article directory. That would surely have your post returned in the first pages with the search keywords you are targeting. Well you also have to design your keywords and optimize it in relation to your site so that it would really have weight.
A tip: have your keyword in your post title, and in the exact URL. You could have the latter by downloading a plug-in for SEO. I am a WordPress user so I am using the plugin All in One SEO. I do not know what it is for Blogger.
