Who said you can only do serious traveling in Guimaras? Because we had so much fun fooling around with our pseudo-photo ops. Albeit we had scratches and itchiness afterwards as we were actually in the midst of cogon grass, we were grinning and enjoying the whole day.
When I, Doi, and Eds went to Iloilo Blog Summit, we went to Guimaras as a side trip. They relied so much on me and my book Lonely Planet: Philippines. They didn’t research anything thinking we have a good and reliable source of information. Well it lead us to some disappointment sometimes, but that’s going ahead of the story.
We rented a tricycle for about 800 the entire day for the three of us. The roads were manageable from Jordan to Villa Igang in Nueva Valencia, but the ones going to Guisi were of gravel so it was a bumpy ride. Despite that, we still managed to take pictures while the tricycle rolled.

Because of Guimaras’ alluring qualities, we visited it twice during our four-day stay in Iloilo. We couldn’t get enough of its natural clear waters surrounding large rocks where we could jump from, the hidden caves and coves that we explored, and especially the magical atmosphere that enchanted us.

This guy ate mangoes the entire time
