In anticipation of the upcoming summer, I’m making myself a list of Cebu beaches to visit.
On top of my list (not necessarily in alphabetical order) are the beaches in Camotes. One of which is Santiago Bay Resort.
How to get there? I only know one way how to get there, as I’ve only been there once. Lol.
So from Cebu City, you need to head out to pier 4 where the fastcraft bound for Camotes is docked. Pier 4 is near SM so it’s hard to miss. If your taxi driver doesn’t know how to get there you hit his head. Just kidding.
It’s better to have a contact of the resort you’re going to stay there so that you won’t have trouble commuting from the Camotes pier to the resort. There are lots of public transportation available, but like in any other places in the Philippines, most likely they’ll rip you off. Honestly speaking. If you have a van or a mode of transport waiting for you at the wharf those swindlers will be held at bay. If you’re good at haggling or you’re not on a budget and you want some adventure then why not try renting a motorcycle or a tricycle? The roads are ok and it’s very conducive for two wheeled vehicles.
When you get there, enjoy these sceneries that are worth returning to.
We really enjoyed there, beach bumming and skimboarding. If you plan for a summer beach getaway, go to Camotes Cebu!

haven’t been to Camotes, but that’s near Bantayan right? the beach looks so clean and pristine.
Beautiful beach
Yes the beach is sort of clean
Camotes is in the east side of Cebu while Bantayan is on the other side.

wow very pretty beach. one day i might go there.
probably on my next visit to PI. thanks for dropping by my blog.
I agree with you guys, I’ve been here and it really does amaze me.. Its a virgin island.. ^_^
another route to camotes is through Danao city. boat leaves at 6am so you better take a danao-city bound jeep at around 430 in highway, mandaue. if you want to make reservations for Santiago Bay or Mangodlong , they have an office somewhere in Mandaue, or you can just call their tel number.
I agree with you guys, I’ve been here once and planning to go back if there is time and budget. This island is super beautiful and you can really appreciate the wonders of nature. White fine sand, very affordable resorts and cottages, there are also cave there where in you can swim inside.
ayos!
Wow! Nice place. I hope I can get there soon!
